Final Version of WP1 - Training Kit

All activities in WP1 are completed. The developed Training Kit can now be used at institutional and inter-institutional level, of students and staff, to facilitate the developing of knowledge, skills and for the sharing of practices.

The International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) of UNESCO and the British Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) are jointly responsible for Workpackage 1. For the implementation of WP1, they prepared an instructional design and delivered two training sessions using a blended learning approach which combines an online element with the organization of two training sessions that took place in Lyon, France, from 28 to 30 April 2014, and Gloucester, United Kingdom, from 4 to 6 June 2014 .

 The two training sessions were proceeded by an online phase, which allowed participants to acquaint themselves with concepts, existing options and good practices in quality assurance systems internationally, and that of transnational education, in particular.

 For this purpose, an already existing series of five online modules on "External quality assurance: Options for higher education managers"that had been prepared by the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning were specifically updated for the training sessions, both in English and French language. Participants were invited to study certain parts of the modules prior to the two training sessions.
