The 1-st EMT Annual Monitoring Visit to ANQA (National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance)


The 1-st EMT annual monitoring visit to the ANQA (National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance) took place on February 12, 2015 (15:00). Mr. Arayik Navoyan, Project Coordinator, UFAR Vice-Rector and Ms. Lilith Badeyan, PA to the Project Coordinator, as well as Ms.Edith Soghomonyan and Ms. Ani Torosyan, the representatives of National Erasmus+ Office, were welcomed by the ANQA team members, Mr. Ruben Topchyan (Director of ANQA), Ms. Ani Mkrtchyan (Responsible for ANQA Internal Quality Assurance), Ms.Varduhi Gyulazyan (Expert Specialist at Institutional and Programme Accreditation Unit from ANQA), Ms. Haykuhi Barseghyan (PR manager).
At the beginning of the monitoring meeting Mr. Navoyan represented the agenda of the meeting and asked the representatives from the ANQA to synopsize  the stage of activities carried out within the framework of the project,as well as to direct any inquiries, recommendations concerning the project management, emphasizing the crucial role of the National Center in the implementation of the project objectives; Mr.Navoyan also informed the ANQA representatives about the dates of the coming workshops, foreseen within the project.
 During the meeting the activities (fact-finding analysis, gap analysis, feedback to the Tool Kit, Concept Paper etc.) implemented by the ANQA were discussed, and a model of “Joint Accreditation” as the best practice from the ANQA was proposed.  The collaboration with the “European Consortium for accreditation” and the involvement of the European experts in the project were recommended by the director of ANQA. The details related to the procurement of the Equipment within the framework of the project were discussed with the ANQA representatives.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Navoyan suggested organizing a National Workshop on TNE QA standards and procedures, developed within the framework of the  project, taking into account the growing importance of the TNE in Armenia and the importance of dissemination of the project results. The idea was to discuss the results of the project with the other stakeholders in order to take their opinions and recommendations into account.
